It all began during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic when our family, like many others, found ourselves seeking creative ways to keep our children entertained and engaged. With schools closed and outdoor activities limited, we were determined to find a way to bring joy and excitement into our son's life.

That's when my father-in-law, a skilled craftsman with a heart of gold, stepped in and crafted a remarkable gift for our son—a homemade excavator. Constructed with love and ingenuity, this realistic scaled-frame excavator became an instant hit with our son, captivating his imagination and sparking endless hours of play.

As we watched our son's eyes light up with excitement while operating his very own excavator, we realized the profound impact that imaginative play could have on a child's development. Inspired by this revelation and driven by a desire to create meaningful experiences for children everywhere, I knew I had to take action.

Drawing upon my background as a product developer and fueled by the boundless energy of my own children, who both have ADHD, I set out to design a product that would not only capture the magic of the homemade excavator but also address the unique needs of children with diverse abilities.

With careful consideration for factors such as motor skills development, sensory engagement, and attention span, I poured my heart and soul into perfecting what would soon become the flagship product of Trompie Toys—the Boskat Sandpit Excavator.

Designed to simulate the push and pull motion that works wonders for shoulder muscles, equipped with a 360-degree turning radius for enhanced maneuverability, and filled with endless possibilities for imaginative play, the Boskat Excavator is more than just a toy—it's a gateway to adventure, discovery, and boundless joy.

Today, as I reflect on our journey from homemade excavator to Trompie Toys, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of children around the world. With each scoop of sand and every turn of the wheel, we are reminded of the power of play to inspire, uplift, and unite us all.
